Wilton Place Elementary School

My son began his journey at St. James Episcopal School as a kindergartener in 2019 and is now a proud graduating 6th grader. Shortly after he started, the pandemic hit and in-person classes transitioned to online learning. As you can imagine, kindergarten virtually was not easy. But, I was especially impressed by how quickly and effectively St. James adapted. They didn’t miss a beat—his kindergarten teacher (Ms. Leonard) was outstanding, and the support we received was thoughtful and responsive. Over the years, our son has truly thrived—academically, socially, and emotionally. The teachers are deeply committed, the curriculum is engaging, and the sense of community is strong and genuine. It stands out for its excellence, warmth, and culture. As we prepare to say goodbye, we do so with immense gratitude. We will miss the St. James family dearly, but we leave confident that our son was in the right place—one that helped shape him into a confident, curious, and kind young learner.
