Nepotism and favoritism are the pillars of this school. It is ALL of those things and more that the other 1 star reviewers are saying. Your children will not be prepared for college but you will duped through the years into thinking so. The school is negligent when you want to report teachers bad behaviors. They will take zero responsibility. Yet, the teachers complain about a toxic work environment. So, who gets the brunt of that toxicity? You guessed right, your children! There’s a dress code however, if you are a varsity player in any sport it doesn’t apply to you. You can come in pajamas and not receive detention. The campus is beautiful and meticulously maintained, with a strong emphasis on safety and community. The school offers a wide range of sports and extracurricular activities, and the summer camp was a highlight for my kids. The leadership is outstanding. The principal sets a tone of excellence, holding both students and staff to high standards. There’s a clear sense of structure and fairness. Having experienced both public and private schools in the area, none have come close to what Egremont provides. My children have built lasting friendships and memories.
