Saint Brendan's is a little jewel of a school in the big city. I have two daughters who graduated from the school, and they felt loved, safe and challenged by the academics. Many of the teachers have been at the school for years, and their experience and dedication to the community is very apparent.

Despite its supposed mission to protect the children of God, its actions do not reflect those principles. The teachers and administrators are all genuinely involved and excellent at their responsibilities. The kids day to day, including mine are actually having a great time learning, playing and becoming young stewards of the future.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son began his journey at St. James Episcopal School as a kindergartener in 2019 and is now a proud graduating 6th grader. Shortly after he started, the pandemic hit and in-person classes transitioned to online learning. As you can imagine, kindergarten virtually was not easy. But, I was especially impressed by how quickly and effectively St. James adapted. They didn’t miss a beat—his kindergarten teacher (Ms. Leonard) was outstanding, and the support we received was thoughtful and responsive. Over the years, our son has truly thrived—academically, socially, and emotionally. The teachers are deeply committed, the curriculum is engaging, and the sense of community is strong and genuine. It stands out for its excellence, warmth, and culture. As we prepare to say goodbye, we do so with immense gratitude.
