Posted by a parent on 8/29/2024This could be a nice neighborhood school. Had some good teachers and some very bad out-right horrific teachers, maybe standard for LAUSD. Some kids don't seem to be raised to know how to function socially with kids of various race. Would be healthy for this school to have more diverse student base.

Posted by a parent on 10/9/2016i have no experience with this school - but wanted to comment that considering the English proficiency state test scares are a low 37% and math 31% - both below state averages for low income populations, how is it the parents are raving about the school, unless they don't care about grades?

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would think long and hard before sending your child to this school. It lacks in academics as compared to other Catholic schools in Los Angeles. Also, you don't get the sense of family community that you get in a smaller school. St Paul is basically a Westside Private School that is focused on their festival donations. They are inconsistent and will often favor certain kids depending on who their family is. It doesn't feel very Catholic and most of the families that I met were not Catholic. Unfortunately, there is a lot of "rowdy" behavior. And in our situation some of the targeting, alienation, came from the school faculty.Parent Review1y ago
