Kentwood Elementary School

It's a hidden gem. It's a great school and I highly recommend it. I love the diversity it provides and the dedicated focus on creating a culture of inclusion. The community is passionate about the school and hence is supported by a very strong PTO. My shy first grader in thriving in this new school and I couldn't be any happier.

Kentwood is a dream school! Even though part of the huge LAUSD system, Kentwood has a way of making itself feel like a small, community-driven school that is in touch with its staff, caretakers and neighborhood. We couldn't love it more. The enrichment programs like art, theatre, yoga, and dance help round out the curriculum and also, the after school enrichment like chess, tennis and science make it a dream environment for growing little minds. Couldn't recommend more!

We LOVE our neighborhood school! From the teachers to the staff the support and encouragement my little ones receive is amazing. We have a very involved parent teacher organization as well that provides so many wonderful resources and opportunities including yoga, dance, theater and access to the computer and innovation labs. Not to mention all the fun movie nights, Trunk or Treat and Family Fun Day!! I highly recommend :)

Our children love attending Kentwood Elementary School. As a small, neighborhood school it is an extension of the neighborhood. The teachers and staff are all top-notch professionals that deeply care about the students well-being and academic growth. The families at Kentwood are daily investing in the school and community events. There are a ton of opportunities for enrichment as well, during and after school. We love this school.
