Overall awesome experience no where near as bad as everyone think it is so many good programs that get you ready for college and as well can help you get into USC
Posted by a community member on 8/18/2020I went here for 6 years and hated it. Middle school was just awful and ruined me, High school was meh. Many office staff and hall monitors are rude and treated everyone like a bad middle schooler, regardless of how that student presented themselves. I left over a year ago but I doubt it has improved

I was a victim of bullying and teachers as well as staff just looked the other way. School personnel need to be more aware of what is occurring in their school. However, I did well academically. Posted by a community member on 12/11/2012My child is attending this school, I'm not too pleased with some of the teachers, some of them should really go ahead and retire. Do not care for the way they try to characterize my child. Teachers really need to give our children a chance to shine. Our children are the future generation of tomorrow
Posted by a parent on 10/12/2012like this school and Weemes elementary which is close by, I tried volunteering once and got turned down by the administrators. I needed to volunteer through a current University course but was rejected by both school. Now I am fed up by these schools.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal Priscialla Doorbar is a poor excuse of an individual let alone principal. She has no empathy for the kids or staff, and she has a very old school mentality of taking care of things. She needs to retire and get out of the field all together. The students are afraid and all highly highly dislike this woman. I pray she gets terminated or locked up for the way she treats the kids. This woman has no place in this type of role. I hope LAUSD can replace her with a more level headed individual who uses kindness and empathy instead of harshness when dealing with young kids. Shame on her.Parent Review3y ago
