Read what parents are saying about Holtville Junior High SchoolThe Holtville Middle school is a nightmare and ship the disabled kids out of their school so that it makes them have higher scores. The so called red headed resource teacher is a lazy joke. But you cant fire useless teachers in Alabama, so they have a job for life! But if you are good a football, then, Holtville is where you need to be, after all, that is what matters most right?

The students are good kids and there are alot of good teachers at this school that care about the students. There needs to be some more after school sports programs started.
Posted by a parent on 5/6/2010I really like this school for my kids! The principal and teachers are great and easy to talk to. This year, they have really challenged the kids in a good way. Discipline is getting much more strict, which is a good thing. The students really seem to like being there. My kids hate to miss school, which says a lot!

Im a student at Holtville MIddle School and I feel independent here I like my teachers and the after school program is awsome.
Posted by a student on 4/28/2010It is my final year here at Holtville Middle School and I am proud to say that it has been a very excellent three years of learning and relationship building. I cannot imagine myself anywhere else, but here at good old HMS, Home of the Warriors. I am sad to say that I have to leave for High school, but I am thankful that they helped me prepare for the challenges ahead with their professional teachers and the many different classes. I as an A.V.I.D student wish I could stay. I recommend that anyone who moves to Holtville should attend HMS for their middle school years. They give you a challenge, but they make sure you understand before moving on. Overall, I am proud to be a graduating Warrior.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had nothing but problems with my son at this school. He had a great kindergarten teacher, but still he didn have a good principle and so I moved him to an El Centro school for 1st grade and he did wonderful! He got an award for academic excellence, and had a good teacher. My mother got sick and I moved back to Holtville and we are 3 weeks into school and I am being called for a parent teacher conference! I keep in constant communication with his teacher and I have spoken to her twice and she tells me everything is fine and now all of a sudden i have the school calling me for a meeting. This is not fair. So I am lookinf for a school to move my son to so he can actually get a good education because he isnt getting that here. And they can wait until school is out to have the AC fixed and they shouldnt have ladders out so kids kill themselves on them.
