Read what parents are saying about La Patera Elementary SchoolI rate this school with the highest rating I can give. It is a wonderful place, full of wonderful people - the faculty, office staff, playground attendants, cafeteria employees, custodian, and cross guard woman are all part of the wonderful experience my children had/are having.
Posted by a parent on 8/31/2018My family (we parents and our children) love La Patera. The principal, the teachers, and the other families who consistently volunteer their time to stay involved and come together make La Patera a wonderful place for our kids. This is such a great family community, and La Patera is an integral part of what makes it so great.

Posted by a parent on 5/10/2018Our experience at La Patera has been very positive. The teachers are dedicated, competent, engaged and able to address a spectrum of needs in their students. The school community is supportive, enthusiastic and open-minded. I have two children at La Patera, and consistently have been very happy with their academic instruction, character development, and over all growth. I am so thankful for the community of teachers, staff and families that we get to be a part of!
Posted by a parent on 5/10/2018My children have thrived at La Patera. We have such a wonderful and diverse community of families. The teachers are exceptional. Our class sizes have always been small. Many times when I volunteer in kindergarten, there are 2 other volunteers plus my child's awesome teacher. My children have made a ton of friends and they all have wonderful helpful families. They also enjoy the after school programs and all the enrichment:garden, science, art music, PE, Library. We are at home at La Patera. It really is a special school.

I can't work from home, so zoom school wasn't an option for us. We started with MCS for that reason (one of the few, if not only, schools offering in-person instruction and childcare). But we have stayed for elementary school because our experience was so wonderful. Not only are the teachers at MCS warm, caring, and nurturing, but they are incredibly communicative (as is the leadership/administration). If I have a question or concern, it is responded to almost immediately. Everything is very well organized and I can focus on work each day knowing that my son is happy, surrounded by friends, and growing in a nurturing environment.MCS has fostered my son's learning and confidence. He regularly works in class with children from other grades and has developed wonderful friendships across the ages. Assignments, homework, and projects are appropriately challenging. It's been awesome watching him grow and develop in this environment. I am not sure what we will do after sixth grade -- I just wish MCS continued through grade 12! - but this certainly is an incredible place for us now.Parent Review1y ago - Montessori Center School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageChoosing Montessori Center School four our girls has been the best decision we have made as parents, hands down. The teachers are truly gifted in their ability to nurture, engage and inspire children. They have been an invaluable sounding board and support system for our family throughout the years. Our children are cared for as whole children, with individual needs academically, socially and emotionally... There is no greater gift! At ages three and six years old, our girls are curious learners, independent and self assured, all qualities that have been fostered at Montessori Center School. We are forever grateful!Parent Review1y ago - The Waldorf School of Santa Barbara

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my daughters attend South Coast Montessori, they feel at home here. They have very close bonds with their teachers and they continue to guide them to become independent and kind human beings. They love coming to school every day and I feel comfortable and happy to know that they are in a place where their needs are being met and where they are seen as unique and capable human beings. I love the friendships they have made and I am sure they will continue to thrive here.Parent Review4mo ago - South Coast Montessori
