Read what parents are saying about Glenmoor Elementary SchoolRude and useless Principal who is ruining the life of kids. He does not put any efforts to improve the standards of school.
Posted by a community member on 6/9/2023I'm a sixth grader whose been here since first grade at this school and I will say it's a pretty good school. The downsides are the rude principal and how cheap we are. We didn't even do a mini graduation while all the other schools did, and it's just depressing. Most teachers are overall amazing. I've only came across four bad teachers, but trust me, it's not that bad. But it's mostly luck based and your personality with the teacher you get, it just depends on the relationship you have. I've definitely learned a lot here so it's a great place to learn at. We have many smart people and many teachers to support us. The other students are hardworking and there are only a few distracting and misbehaving people. The safety here isn't the whole best. The school is very open, and anyone can easily walk in, but thankfully I've never encountered a dangerous situation here. There are very few physical fights between students and almost no bullying. The teacher's punishments are pretty mild and absolutely NO physical or mental harm is done. The Special ED teachings are okay. I've seen a few teachers that seem to yell at the kids but it's mostly out of frustration and I'm positive they still care for them it's just a way for them to learn. I've spent time with the kids before as a school activity and I can tell they learned a lot and are really smart. Great Special ED teaching. The family engagement is pretty good. There's a wonderful PTA community welcoming everyone and is very sweet. The counselling is amazing! The teachers are very, very understanding and the counsellor is very nice. This is definitely the best place for emotional support, Glenmoor cares a lot.I would recommend this school for people willing to learn. It's a good community and everyone would be happy to have your child here.

Posted by a community member on 2/18/2018Glenmoor school is great. I have 2 kids in this school and they love their teachers. My youngest son needs extra help at school and his teachers go above and beyond to meet his highest potential, but all teachers at Glenmoor are very dedicated to their students. The Principal is very involve and dedicated in the school community, as well as our PTA.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe absolutely loved this school. We were immediately contacted after submitting our application and they made the process an easy one. My son, Alex was met with kindness and positivity from the staff and all the kids in his grade. He never had a problem with anyone. They have many activities for the kids and their families with plenty of volunteer opportunities. Super communication from Mrs Marsh and all of the teachers. They even have an app that the parents can use to communicate with one another. Holy Spirit is very much a family that we were proud to be apart of.We will definitely miss this school. Such a blessing!Parent Review1y ago - Fremont Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHeed the warnings from previous reviews that mention bullying! I don't usually write reviews but want to warn other parents before the damage is done. We went to POP for many years and heard and witnessed many incidents of bullying (including physical harm to students by other students , students being called racial slurs and older kids intimating younger students by blocking the halls and pushing them out of the way) but nothing was ever done and worse yet, they have instituted ZERO policies to ensure safety at the school despite multiple complaints. Additionally, during the pandemic when home schooling was in place, we noticed that several of the Teachers routinely bullied one child and shamed him in front of the others on a daily basis. We knew this because we heard it over Zoom. We told the parents and they shared with the school and nothing done! There should be a Zero tolerance for bullying and this should be addressed Day 1 with a clear WRITTEN POLICY and immediately addressed at back to school night (especially since the school includes middle school where bullying is at it's worse) and there should be clear guidelines enforced from ALL school administrators but here, Staff just looks away and worse yet, is complicit in the bullying. We stayed bc fortunately for us it didn't impact our child directly until it did! We found out that our child was being actively bullied by older kids and peers for months and we were never notified by anyone at the school. When we directly confronted Teachers and the Principal they did absolutely nothing and in fact, scapegoated our child to be shunned by the school community. Yes, bullying is a sad reality at all schools but if you can't trust that the school is going to communicate with you if problems do arise, provide a safe place in which your child can thrive socially/ academically without physical/ emotional harm and partner with you to give your child the support/ compassion/ caring they deserve if they are bullied then it's definitely worth your child's self esteem and overall well being.Parent Review9mo ago - Learn and Play Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis review is really for all the schools operated LAPMS. Please believe the other not so positive reviews when they say staff turnover is extremely high! While my child was there, he had more than six teachers in a six month period of time. Their corporate management is concerned about one thing, and one thing only, and that is their profit margins. There is no room for teacher growth, teacher pay is below standard, burn out is extremely high, there’s no appreciation for what the teaching staff does for the program and basic teacher to child ratios are not met most of the time. One of the highest tuitions in the county and minimal materials on the shelf, what are we paying $350 for material fees for annually? There is no diversity, and if your child is deemed high energy, your child will be terminated. Center directors, gaslight parents, and provide minimal updates unless your child is misbehaving as they characterize your child’s behavior. For the cost, there are so many other programs available with less turnover and higher quality care. When looking for care for your child, ask the directors, how many teachers are fully qualified and how many teachers have their full Montessori credential, as most staff do not carry these minimal requirements. As a parent, what are you paying for? Do a little homework before you decide to enroll here!Parent Review1y ago - Learn and Play Montessori School
