Read what parents are saying about Rolling Hills Middle SchoolMy son is currently attending the 6th grade at Rolling Hills Middle School. The school seems to be good overall. Each day our son and others try to run to the lunch line but they never seem to have enough food, even with the free lunches provided by the state to the entire school. The first week of school, they ran out of hot lunch each day. He came home hungry each day, for a week! Finally, he has received lunches but they run out or do not have the special item of the day. This is very sad to hear when he returns home. The core group of teachers have proven to be steady and on track. The gym teachers are suppose to be grading on participation but we see that their expectations are that the students should be at an experienced athlete level. This makes it hard for the average student to achieve an acceptable grade. Overall, this middle school is meeting expectations. We do hope that the rest of the year will prove to be much better.
Posted by a parent on 11/12/2021The school is very disciplined, focussed on overall development. Teachers continuously challenge the students to bring the best in them, which is very different from previous school where teachers complimented at every little thing.
Posted by a parent on 11/6/2021My son is spending his second year at Rolling Hills right now. He really enjoys school life! The teachers and staff are just amazing! They show compassion to every student and family!
Posted by a parent on 11/4/2021We've had a great experience with Rolling Hills. Being new to the area, we were excited, yet nervous about a new big school for our daughter. She had grown up in a smaller private school from K-7th grade. All that said... this was a perfect fit. The teachers are warm, friendly, funny, and reasonable with their expectations. Our daughter had no problem making friends and enjoys going to campus herself each day. Many thanks to Principal Bowers and the rest of the staff for a job well done:)
Posted by a parent on 11/3/2021The thought of my daughter, with special needs, starting Middle school sometimes kept me awake at night. However, the experience that I am having with Middle school, Rolling Hills, has been much better than our time at Elementary school. The staff at Rolling Hills are fabulous!!! They are kind, knowledgeable, professional, supportive of all students, and very respectful. The administration also ROCKS! The academics is set to a high standards in which they will challenge your kid just a little to the point of growth! Generally, I would recommend Rolling Hills Middle School to all parents that value a good and supportive education.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have loved this school since I found it in 2013 for my then 2nd grade boy who went through MVA, graduated form ORHS with a 3.99 and graduated form college with a 3.8 in Spanish with a minor in Chemistry. He has told me multiple times that the skills he learned at MVA especially the writing and critical thinking, continues to serve him today as he manages 2 skilled nursing homes in the Sacramento area. Marble Valley Academy understands that in conjunction with strong academics and discipline , “To be of truly high intelligence, one must have an understanding and appreciation of other people”. As adults we understand the need for people skills. We also all know adults who, although highly intelligent in their field, do not have the ability to lead, or even communicate effectively. MVA not only pushes their students to excel in academics, but emotionally and mentally as well. The new buzz word this year is grit. They are teaching and guiding students to be strong mentally; to think outside the box (critical thinkers), and to advocate for themselves (problem solve) so after they leave MVA the students can be successful wherever they go doing whatever they choose. Although MVA has tripled in size since its creation (which speaks to the uniqueness and need for what they are offering parents and students), it has maintained its small student to teacher ratio, allowing teachers to give attention to the individual students, all why getting accolades from WASC accreditation and launching an online hybrid high school program. My older children still maintain friendships with some of their teachers and friends from MVA because of their fantastic shared experiences there. It is truly a unique, safe and wonderful environment for children to learn & grow. I cannot recommend it enough especially when I see what the he other options are for education. If you are looking for a private school you would be remiss to not visit Marble Valley Academy and see it for yourself.Parent Review1mo ago - Kindercare Learning Center
