Fairfield Elementary School

If I could sum up Grace Valley Christian Academy (GVCA) in one word, the word would be: exceptional. GVCA offers an exceptional school experience for students and families. Our children are entering their second year at this school (we found the school through the greatschools.org website), and my husband and I are pleased with the quality of the education provided as well as with our children’s school experience. The principal, Mrs. Broderick, and the teachers/aides are professional, kind, thoughtful, and communicative. The teachers are highly qualified to teach their respective subjects; they are excellent educators. The curriculum is challenging and engaging. Our children learned a tremendous amount of new material and skills during their first year, but they came home each day excited to share what they had learned. The school offers smaller class sizes, so there is a lot of individual attention given to each student. The teachers are actively engaged with the students; they set clear expectations and challenge the children to try their best and grow in their abilities. We have found that to be such a blessing. The teachers and school staff truly want your child to grow in their spirituality and character development—to thrive and succeed.The school is also well-run. School staff regularly communicates with families, so we know how our children are doing and what is going on at the school. There are well-organized school functions and activities. We have also met many new families who have been kind, helpful, and inclusive and made efforts to welcome us to the school. We have not seen any bullying. The other children are friendly, and everyone seems to have fun and play together. We have seen our children grow tremendously over the past year in many positive ways. They are happy and thriving and have made many new friends. We absolutely recommend this school and are grateful that we found it.

Our child attended pre-k here and we were pleased with the experience. As a family new to town, we found the Redbud community to be very welcoming. I especially appreciated the family book that was put together that helped us to visualize the kids, their families, and their interests. The care was calm and loving and I think my child progressed significantly in his ability to understand himself and his place in the world, to make friends, and to develop independence in meeting his needs.
