Posted by a parent on 10/28/2018We had 3 wonderful years at Ellington until Alexis Norman became the principal and Miss Julie left the office. I didn’t realize until my child left Ellington that they have a mediocre (at best) teaching ciriculum as well. This school has completely gone downhill. The teachers are still wonderful.

A school that has teachers that are willing to go the extra mile to help students learn new ideas. A school that embraces differences.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal has now twice made a deal about my child custidy. Talking about it in front of my child as well as other students and parents. She waits till im there to keep my daughter away from and trys to get staff to run to the office to figure it out. While not allowing my daughter to come to me. This is horrible and against the court rules. Im now filling coplaints on the school as well as looking it to court action. Look up the article about their lawsuit in the 80s and look at other forums and sites for what people have said about it. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would say my experience so far is simply ok, but could be better. My child is doing well academically and excited to go to school. The 4th grade teacher seems very creative, nice, and eager to teach as well as learn about her students. Accessibility to the teacher is great. Constant communication by the teacher is highly appreciated in keeping parents informed on the child's progress. My child is happy with her teacher, class mates and work.
