This school is very 50/50. Many teachers do love their jobs, while the rest clearly dislike their jobs and project their own frustrations on the students. The justice system is also very horrific. I had to explain and relive my sexual assault encounter in full detail to a police officer at the schoo

The student services is trash. This school is definitely not safe for many students. You will get in trouble for doordashing and dress codes, but they will turn a blind eye if you get sexually harassed (from my experience), or bullied. My Daughter goes to Buchanan High and she loves it. She came from private school and this is her second year there. Teachers seem caring and helpful towards the students. I would recommend this school.

Nothing is perfect. Learning is a journey. My hope as a parent is that my child values learning. At this school the value of learning is exceptional in English, Math, Foreign Language, Visual Arts and Cultural Studies. At other schools those may be in Science, Athletics, Music, etc. For Armenian Community School, I would say our experience is very good because we value the items where they are exceptional and we don't value the areas where they don't excel. There is a family-like culture on campus that also is teaching our students about basic human skills like care, compassion and love. That also is a rare characteristic in a public school setting.
