One of my kids has ADHD and this school did absolutely nothing to accommodate her for it. I tried so hard to work out something with the principal, but she made zero effort to communicate with me. Highly engaged families (PTA is extremely active), a fantastic new principal (welcome, Principal Kay!), and staff who stay for decades and really care for kids. The academic rigor is appropriate across all grades and students leave 6th grade prepared and ready to succeed. There are some problems in EUSD with regard to low rigor and a high politicization of certain social issues; at this point (2025), OPE has maintained itself as a school that is focused on student success and stays above the nonsense. 10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe absolutely love El Camino Creek Elementary! There’s such a strong sense of community here, and the teachers are incredibly supportive. They really take the time to get to know each child and build meaningful connections, creating a trusting and nurturing environment. My children are thriving academically, especially in math, thanks to the CGI math instruction—they’re getting a strong foundation in math. Principal Jodi Greenberger is amazing; she knows every child by name, and my kids adore her. She does an excellent job leading the school and fostering a welcoming, positive atmosphere.
