The school has made changes like IB to improve. The Principal is really involved and I can tell she is trying to improve the learning. The teachers have been there for lots of years. The Principal sends home tons of info for parents and tries to get parents involved but most parents don’t show up so I’m not sure if they know what Pendleton is really about. This year the Principal has had monthly meetings with parents and only a few of us go but we learn a lot and get to ask questions. The school just got IB authorized and that will help improve teaching and the test scores. My child had an issue with a classmate and I contacted the principal. She listened to my concern and addressed it. I know that she can’t tell me what the other students consequences were because of the law doesn’t allow that but I felt sure that it was addressed. I know that if anything were to happen again that I can get her support. Things happen and kids will be kids but it feels good to know that she will make sure the kids are safe.

My daughters experience with this school did not go well. She came home crying because she got in trouble for something she didn’t even do. I’ve had a horrible experience with the teachers in these past 2 years. And all of the kids there have such rude remarks to say, I think that this is completely unacceptable considering this is a school. I feel that the other parents don’t know the full truth of what goes on at school or it’s just that they don’t want to give the school a bad review. But overall Pendleton was a horrible experience for me and my daughter and we are looking into some other schools because this is just unacceptable.

I do like the school education system and its strive for exellence. My concern is of my child safety and the rudeness of some of their faculty members. Besides the bruises on his legs he receives on school property that the school never lets me know. Its whats he's learning on school grounds that worries me. While waiting for the school to open i was playing with my 6 year old and my son got on my back and screamed at his friends "Look guys! Just like a Mexican"(he's mentally slow). With a broken heart i sat him down and i corrected him. My son is half white, half mexican and to hear words like that coming from a place of education. Where exactly are the faculty members when our kids are getting bullied, when they hurt themselves and when they ask for help.

I have an autistic first grader and a typical kindergartner who attend Pendleton. They both love school and we've had nothing but positive experiences. The teachers and aides are wonderful.

We have been a Pendleton family for a few years and love it so don't pay much attention to the score listed here. The score is not a reflection of the school whatsoever. The Principal that started last year has really done a lot for the academic improvement of the school. I attend the parent meetings and the school's test scores have improved so much since she became the Principal. They also became an IB candidate school under her leadership. I really love the weekly newsletters and parent website that she has because it helps us know what's going on at the school. The newsletter even introduces you to all of the staff over time which helps new parents get to know who the staff are. I hope that this site fixes the score based on the most recent test scores because the score here is not based on what's going on now at Pendleton.
