Mary Casey Black Elementary

Could not have asked for a better place for my kids to grow up at. Everyone from the teachers to the custodians are genuinely kind, care about the kids, and are enthusiastic about learning and growing. My kids came out of there so prepared for middle school.

I am an old student who is currently in 7th grade, this school was good but there was a few lacks. The learning was boring, but it kinda worked. It’s depending on the kids personality / teacher. The school gave good support though; and were really kind! The special care was ok, the staff when I was there weren’t very good. One ran off and kissed me (when I was in 5th grade) and I get he was special needs but so better. Safety was good, we did engage.

My child has attended K and 1st grade. Excellent teachers and extracurricular activities. The one big negative is there are way too many students at this school and dropping and picking up your child can be stressful. Great principal of two years just left as well.

This school is really nice! My son has been here for 1 year and he got Mrs. Ramey! She is so nice, Mrs. D’ Alfonsi is supportive and overall the schools good!

Terrible school!! do not send your kids here. if you want to be a part of anything like: plays, field trips, award ceremonies anything special don’t do it because 1 they do things at 9am no time for parents to get off work no times for parents with kids to get there! they also don’t want siblings to be at any events!! like the apex run and other school events. And finally they do not allow your kids to graduate not tk not kindergarten not fifth grade nothing but a “clap out” if you want your kids to feel neglected by you by all means take them here but if you value your parenthood and want your kids to feel valued do not bring your kids here oh and p.s my daughter got a concussion on the playground and no one! Called me they really are terrible.

Knightsen Elementary is such a special community. We celebrate traditions that have been happening for multiple generations. Some teachers had been working so long at the school that they were then teaching their previous student's children. Keeping kindness and good character as a huge priority from admin. We have been in the district since 2017 and I love the school, the kids, and the staff. My oldest has started at Liberty and is thriving even coming from an 8th grade class of 23 to a freshman class of 700something. KES is great!
