family run business that is harsh to their teachers and overall not a good learning environment

I strongly advise against this school based on our experience, which is limited to middle school. The administration is more interested in controlling and punishing rather than fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking, love of learning and a feeling of safety. There is a stark lack of innovation and a revolving door of teachers speaks volumes. With some teachers who remained, issues loomed. The science program is a disgrace. The Spanish program is a joke. Social Studies was inconsistent. A new, inexperienced young English teacher had no accountability. She humiliated more than one child in front of class by timing them 2 minutes when going to the restroom. She demonstrated questionable rationality. Every opportunity they had to tear down a child, they took—and that treatment extended to parents. They foster a rigid, oppressive environment where students are expected to fall in line and remain silent. The anxiety our family experienced during our time at NDE was profound. The relentless effort to control through fear was disgraceful. Penalties denying children exercise were frequent. Emotional abuse on top of an antiquated mode of teaching and curriculum. Run away.

Dr Harville moved to California back in 2021 with her family.Dr Harville finished her Doctorate degree while working at IHM school. Dr Harville has her Gifted and Talent certificate for children that has higher learning and Dr Harville will see this and let the parents know and make decision accordingly to see the children get the best education possible. Dr. Harville ONLY hires College degree Teachers and Dr Harville wants your children to have teachers with college education. Dr Harville believes parents pay good money for their children education and they should have the best. Always check your children teachers when looking for a great Catholic education. IHM students lead first place in basketball and volleyball. A-TEAM. Let’s talk about security and safety. Dr Harville installed security cameras at every entrance and exit and parking lots.There is a school police officer that drives through the school parking lots when children are getting dropped off. The officer will set and watch for any suspicious activity.
