Albert Baxter Elementary School

Ramona elementary Bellflower is the worst. IEP is supposed to be a team effort NOT. This school is the worst. They just pass along your kid, don't even teach, don't grade any or check any work. Your kid has a one on one and the school calling you for advice or pick up your child.

I would rate our experience a 7 out of 10

Despite the pandemic , staff and teachers are on top of it. I get notified with any updates, school virtual meetings and so on. Principal jackson is very involved, she takes importance for any concern. My daughter just started kindergarten and its been a great experience!

Very professional staff, they go above and beyond to make sure your child is well taken care of . My son loves his teacher and is learning a lot

I have two kids at Carpenter, one going into 2nd and one going into K. Having been part of this school community for 3 years now gives me some perspective. I grew up in the local private school systems so I am able to make some comparison. I do really like this school and the parent and teacher community. It's engaging and very nurturing towards the kids. The parents are involved and that makes it feel almost like a private school. I like that the school is well-resourced and seems to constantly be doing this to improve.

This school has serious issues that need to be addressed. The history teacher frequently takes out their frustration on students, creating a stressful learning environment. The math teacher doesn’t effectively teach the material and plays favorites, leaving many students struggling. We don’t even have real science or religion classes, which leaves gaps in our education. On top of that, the new principal clearly doesn’t care about the students—only the faculty. They also pick favorites and get students in trouble for no reason, often without any proof. The administration needs to step up and make real changes before things get worse.
