As someone who went too and graduated from this school, I enjoyed my experience in attending this school. Yes there are some problems. Some but not all are a bit lazy and unfocused. The clubs, sports and Academic programs are great. Even though we might not be the best at certain sports. Bullying does happen but it isn't happening everywhere. There is a ton of diversity in the student population, and for the most part we all got along. There are AP classes, academic programs with education being the most important. College Prep and below can be very easy to glide through and graduate. There is a ton of character and spirit at this school. The home work is similar to what is said above in regards to style of school.

This school has some of the worst teachers in the district. Some tolerate bullying & disrespectful behavior in class and dont give students proper attention when they need help with the subject. School focuses way to much on helping immigrant students instead of those who really need help with class work. Security & campus police are a joke too.Hispanic Mom

I like this school because offers a lot of classes for the students to get into a collage and it has good teachers.

East High is a great and spirited school. It has a lot of clubs and programs no other school has. The teachers are nice and helpful. The best school in Bakersfield.

Greatest school you'll ever find has the best programs, you can't find at any newer school. School has a bad rap and judged for the corner its in. (in-between Northeast & east side of Bakersfield).
