This is the best school!! My daughter was struggling in school, than she got in at AFAA and to see the change in her has been amazing!! Not only is she passing but excelling in choir, dance and her school work!! Thank you so much!

Having tried both, we think FAA compares favorably to the private school options in this area, especially when it comes to "the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic". If you look at state STAR tests, you'll see FAA does quite well in the area compared to the local public schools, too. I've worked in education (at the university level) and the private sector for many years. I would say that the teachers at FAA are some of the most dedicated, hardworking individuals I've ever encountered. And the chief staff support person (Evie) is perhaps the best administrative assistant I've ever encountered, anywhere. All CA schools I've seen have behavioral issues (parents). FAA teachers do as well as any. My only complaint about the school is that the PTSA has (-some great folks and-) a couple hysterical individuals on it, who should probably be teaching drama.

HAving served on the PTSA, I can honestly say that the teachers at this school are incredibly lazy, disconnected and on auto-pilot. The entire lot should be replaced and start over. The concept of the school is good, but between the complacency of the staff, and the severe cuts in education funding, it's a poor excuse for an edicational facility. The basics of reading, writing and arithmatic are given short shrift. Do not send your child to this schol if he or she needs additional help in any way. LAstly, it seems that there are many students who end up here as a last resort. Lots of behavioral issues and kids that need additional supervision. However, the stupid school board has cut the Principal here to two days a week (even though it is essentially a middle school). In total, great concept school, dismal execution of concept!

Every child have different learning capabilities. My older son really love this school. As a parent, I have no regret to send my son in this school. Teachers, students are amazing, their academic programs are superb. Love it...
