Sandia Elementary School

Our family has been connected to Apple Valley Christian since my husband graduated from here in 91. He says his years spent in these classrooms were pivotal to his walk with Christ. Now we have had 3 of our own children enrolled since kindergarten, now 2 are graduated, and the last is in 10th grade. Through the last 13 years, we have seen this school struggle to find their footing but never loose sight of their goal to "Train Christian Leaders Committed to Excellence." The teachers are incredible, with their commitment to creating a learning environment that pushes students to grow to their potential, as well as teaching and reflecting Christ like characteristics. The student body is small enough that most any student will feel welcomed and accepted. Another benefit of the small school that I've noticed is there isn't a hard push for kids to grow up too fast, they are interacting with younger and older students alike and make friends and are able to just be kids. Our family has fought hard through the years to keep them enrolled in the school; we understand the cautious apprehension of deciding if the sacrifice is worth it. It is. This school's heart is first and foremost to honor Christ, second to teach students about the gospel and then educate them in a manner that is well rounded and ready to take on the world.
