Palm Lane Elementary School

My kids have attended this school since kinder and are now almost completing middle school. There have been some teachers that are not that stellar but overall my kids have had excellent caring teachers. The school did exactly what I was looking for which is disciplined academics and rigor. They also helped one accelerate in math and he is way ahead without me pushing. My kids are very respectful and have never gotten into trouble and I am appreciative that it's not an overly strict regimented school but allows free thinking and curiosity. There have been changes to the elementary side so I can't speak to that anymore but when we went through it the teachers were great. Yes the proper head of school was not my favorite but that has changed. Yes I didn't think that English teacher being mentioned may need to retire and she is no longer there. Changes are not always made immediately but just like in our daily jobs things will get corrected it just takes time.

I am currently a freshman in high school, I attended Fairmont from preschool to 8th grade. I am extremely disappointed with their preparation for my high school academic experience. Their middle school math course has an extreme problem. I took Algebra 2 honors 8th grade year and I am retaking it this year. Some teachers are extremely unprofessional and their “counselors” are worse. I had social struggles and staff did not seem to care. I had seen many physical fights break out in the locker room, playground, cafeteria, and gym. I feel that Fairmont has failed me in preparation for success academically later in life.

Oh how I miss the old St.Justin. The one that kept good teachers. The school who acknowledged parents and never chose favortism. Once Pax academy took over that was the schools downfall. Feels like a public school but the only difference is we pay. We pay the mafia now and the magia being Pax Cristy. If you are looking for a wholesome Catholic School this isn’t for you. If you want a high cost public school this is for you. For new incoming families, please do your homework, classes are extremely impacted. 7th grade has 35 kids! Not even what public schools entertain. Sad to see St. Justin like this we will miss our friends!
