Read what parents are saying about Valley Horizon Elementary SchoolI attended this school along time ago back in the day and I really hated it. This school does not care at all for anyone and it seems to me after all these years it hasn’t changed a bit. Well I no longer live in the vicinity of Yuma county and I will never live in this state nor country again!
Posted by a community member on 3/5/2023My child was excited to begin the new year (2022-2023) this year and so we’re we. This was due to the change of the principal at the school. School has just began and my child’s new teacher is amazing. (Mrs. Francis Martinez). Then all of the sudden my son is going to be getting a new teacher? This is unfair to the children. My child was actually excited to go to school with his new teacher. He was gaining confidence, and trust with his new teacher. Why do they do this to the children of this school? The same thing happened with the last principal. No continuity! I suppose we need to go to school where the leadership understands the importance of student and teacher continuity. So disappointed!
Posted by a parent on 8/19/2022Excellent. The challenging activities during the day and after school are a great way for my child and other students to learn how to problem-solve and take responsibility for their own learning.
Posted by a parent on 8/13/2018I liked valley horizon until i had problems with the "discipline" aka screaming at your students and Ana Noriega is a terrible principal who knows nothing about the goings on in her school.
Posted by a parent on 4/24/2018Honestly, we were lead by the school district to believe this was the best school for our child, who has special needs. We trusted the teachers and staff, sad to say, we were deceived and lied to too many times. Our child's IEP contract was violated, the principal and teachers would do anything and say just about anything to cover their behinds. They failed to even read our child's IEP, in their words, "We have tried everything to help your child. We are tired of him and we are waiting our time", no lie. I would NOT and DON'T recommend this school for any parent with a special needs child.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe kids are packed into rooms nearly 40 in a class. The district is not addressing the issue. They NEED to do something about this. As a parent I am concerned not only about the education of my child is getting with a 38:1 ratio but also about their safety.Parent Review4y ago - Ronald Reagan Fundamental School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOver all, I am dissatisfied with this school as a whole. I will be transferring my student out ASAP. Crane district is very overwhelmed with the amount of students it has, and each Crane school I've looked into thus far has a waiting list.Parent Review4y ago - Rancho Viejo Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRancho, or RV, as it is affectionately known, as a long history of caring teachers and staff. All kids are valued and cared for respectfully. Academic success as shown in the growth students make from year to year well perhaps not in the scores of the general population. However, I've known quite a few students in the GAP program to be the near the top 5% in the state.Other Review6y ago - Salida Del Sol Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school will hang their past academic accomplishments like they are present. They do this because we have no present things to hang. Now I am in middle school at Gowan the middle school project started when I was in 6th grade. They have sense then still not found a program they want to use. The teaching and learning differences throughout the year. They start the year saying something about how it’s going to go, then mid way and throughout they will change it drastically. The teachers don’t care how yin you participate and don’t put any effort at all in teaching. We have 1 hour and 40 minute long classes and if we talk out of turn once or any minor thing we lose our 5 minute break. We have only one 30 minute elective. We have to trade off our classes for example we have SCIENCE on Monday and Friday then MATH and ELA everyday and only have SOCIAL STUDIES on Tuesday and Thursday. They also don’t give fair punishments. There was a time where I was repeatedly getting physically bullied and only gave my bully 1 day of lunch detention. This school is not great please don’t send you kids here.Student Review8mo ago - Crane Ilearning Academy
