Read what parents are saying about Pueblo High Magnet SchoolI considere Pueblo excellent, a school is not a building, we made the school, if there is something that we don't like from the school, we need to start making some changes on us. what we look to see in our school, we have to put it in.
Posted by a parent on 10/17/2019This is the first year for my son at Pueblo and it has been a magnificent experience. He personally says that Pueblo is the best school. For our family, Pueblo represent the best of our community, We are very proud of everybody who works and attend to our High School.
Posted by a community member on 11/14/2016this school is simply the best. it is way better than Tucson high I recommend this school too everyone. it has fine academics and great mariachi bands.the kids get so much help from there teachers and they help meet the potential. if you want your daughter or son too succeed I recommend pueblo.
Posted by a parent on 7/24/2014Pueblo has a strong community of teachers who are willing to help students meet their potential. When I recall attending Pueblo I remember teachers always pushing me to become a better student and to achieve my goals. Being an alumni of Pueblo High School I have heard expansion of many of the programs there (specifically from the science department) but have not kept up with recent accomplishments of students or faculty. As for the bad reputation I can say this with absolute certainty; the bad reputation only exists because of a small percentage of students who are not keen on success. As for the mariachi program, they are pretty good. Just wish I could say the same about some of their athletic teams (and i say that with love :) )
Posted by a community member on 9/27/2012This high school literally has the best mariachi in the nation. Like, literally. They always have. The newest band director told me he heard about the mariachi program YEARS before he heard of the actual school.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have found that the teaching curriculum is strong & consistent. The principal is stern, strict, & fair. The teachers well like at every school (my opinion) you have some better than others. I've noticed they push reading & math strongly, they institute a good foundation for values by implementing a LEAP motto. CE Rose was rated an A+ school in the last couple years & has won awards in excellence. In my opinion I am very happy with the schools overall performance. They push our children in a positive way to further there abilities to perform better.Parent Review9y ago - Hollinger Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is an employee at this school. He is proud of the leadership and the dedicated work of the excellent teachers who work there. This year there is much school spirit and assemblies to honor the students' achievements and celebrate the various holidays in the school year. Most of all, he is proud of the positive morale that is displayed by all members of the student body, staff, and parents. This school would greatly benefit from tax credit contributions to enhance the school playground, provide more student supplies, and add to the extracurricular activities.Other Review9y ago - Lynn Urquides

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur kids went here for kindergarten and first grade and we really tried to give it a chance and let them develop the programming they are working on. Unfortunately in our experience everything fell to pieces. Classroom management was horrible. No physical education, art or science. Sad to say but the school really let us down.Parent Review9y ago - Van Buskirk Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent, I’m very disappointed in the school. First off if the staff is a direct reflection of the school, it speaks volumes about how the teachers/principal on down will not be attentive to your child educational needs. These people behind their snake pit as soon as you walk in the front entrance, have the most disgusted look on their face. I’m not surprised about all the negative comments left in the review section. This is a recently new school and they have no idea what they’re doing. Absolutely no clue. if your staff/School superintendents have no clue what they’re doing, what are they teaching our children? Highly DissapointedParent Review1mo ago
