2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a child with disabilities, I cannot recommend this school based on our experience. Families who rely on communication, support services, and appropriate accommodations for their children deserve a school environment that is compassionate, responsive, and consistent. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. One of the most concerning issues we faced was the continuous bullying my son experienced while attending this school. As parents, we repeatedly raised concerns and hoped the administration and staff would take meaningful action to ensure his safety and emotional well-being. Instead, we were left feeling unheard and unsupported while our child struggled in an environment that should have protected him.I also personally witnessed staff members distracted on their phones during times when they should have been actively supervising and ensuring student safety. As a parent, it was deeply concerning to see a lack of attentiveness in situations where my son’s well-being and protection should have been the priority. In addition, there were serious concerns regarding how the school handled my son’s educational accommodations and services. At one point, staff attempted to make changes to my son’s IEP without properly conducting an IEP meeting or fully involving us in the process. This raised significant concerns for our family regarding compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the rights afforded to students with disabilities and their parents.Rather than feeling like collaborative partners in our child’s education, we often felt dismissed when advocating for his needs. A school should be a place where all children — especially those with disabilities — are treated with dignity, respect, and care. Sadly, our experience did not reflect those values.I understand that no school is perfect, and educators face many challenges. However, schools have a responsibility to provide a safe learning environment and to follow appropriate procedures when supporting students with disabilities. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage other parents of children with disabilities to carefully research, ask detailed questions, and fully understand their rights before enrolling their child here.Parent Review1mo ago15 Reviews - Hollinger Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is an employee at this school. He is proud of the leadership and the dedicated work of the excellent teachers who work there. This year there is much school spirit and assemblies to honor the students' achievements and celebrate the various holidays in the school year. Most of all, he is proud of the positive morale that is displayed by all members of the student body, staff, and parents. This school would greatly benefit from tax credit contributions to enhance the school playground, provide more student supplies, and add to the extracurricular activities.Other Review11y ago3 Reviews - Mission View Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur kids went here for kindergarten and first grade and we really tried to give it a chance and let them develop the programming they are working on. Unfortunately in our experience everything fell to pieces. Classroom management was horrible. No physical education, art or science. Sad to say but the school really let us down.Parent Review11y ago3 Reviews - Van Buskirk Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great if you want your child to be an artist and marry well. Otherwise, if you want your child to learn, read, do math, turn in homework, have a real sense of "responsibility and education"...it probably isn't the place. Being fair, the staff seem very concerned about the children and it is a very "free/artsy" environment. However, this comes at the expense of actually having right/wrong/accountability/high academic standards.Parent Review5y ago12 Reviews - Cavett Elementary School
