My kid goes to this school and she is a girl I told me the girls bathroom has no mirrors for the girls and only the boys have it I very much think this is so sexist and very disappointing.

Horrible ,horrible school. Maybe the worst in the state. Always need subs and vacancy teachers.

The teachers here and all the staff are top notch. Couldn't ask for better. My kids luv going here.

Principal Loya can be a mean person with little regard for the feelings of others, this includes his staff. He is not the ideal role model for elementary school age children. A principal for this age group should encompass a warm friendly demeanor and motivate others with positive vibes. He is all about fear and bullying. During a conference, he was threatening to our child who was reluctant to come to school. As parents, my husband and I were shocked, appalled and angry at his lack of problem solving abilities with a small child. The logical way to handle this situation would be to comfort the child and explore the child's feelings and address the fears; not increase them. Offer positive incentives such as lunch with principal, or a warm fuzzy. We withdrew our child that day. An opportunity to educate and build a positive relationship was wasted. His ability to own up to his failure by apologizing to our child was also wasted. He could have demonstrated that mistakes will happen but we can take responsibility for our actions and make it right. As the clincher to the meeting , he let us all know, he hates his job and still has to come every day.

My child was born with special needs. During the child find process he was referred to a speech language pathologist who referred us to Harold Steele. Steele is the TUSD school closest to us that worked with kids younger than kindergarten who have special needs.My son loved his time at Steele. The school picked him up and dropped him off at his daycare, Storybook Cottage, so I didn't have to leave work for him to get services. They helped him with his speech issues. He always felt included and was proud to be part of the community there. They really set him up for success in elementary school. It has been a few years, but he still talks about his time there.For the rest of his education we ended up sending him to Da Vinci Tree down the road as they specialize in helping kids with special needs and kids who are advanced - which is the case for my son and his siblings. Still, we are always grateful for the strong start he got at Harold Steele! Highly recommend!

My family loves the Early Education program at Family Life Academy! The teachers and support staff are incredibly welcoming and create a safe, fun and highly engaging environment for my child. My child is excited to go to school to see the teachers and friends each day. I can tell my child has learned so much since starting at FLA two months ago. The teachers and staff are very communicative which is important to us and we love that it is a private Christian education for all that attend through 8th grade. I highly recommend this school! Thank you FLA!!!!
