Andrada Polytechnic High School

My daughter is currently a sophomore at Andrada and we have loved the last two years! All of the teachers my daughter has had are great and very supportive especially in the honors and AP classes. The pathways give students the opportunity to learn to think for themselves and give real life experience. I love that they are bringing opportunities for sports back to the students. This school gives students a great education, skills, and a high school experience without the pressure students face at large high schools.

Fantastic place with amazing staff and students. Very welcoming place where everyone is invested in the students and want them to succeed.

Andrada does a outstanding job preparing student for career and college.

Andrada has been a wonderful place to be at simply because of the sense of community that is brought to students and teachers. The teachers are 100% dedicated to their students and it is noticeable through their teaching and instruction. The teachers are supportive of the students in everything that they do and it shows. I love seeing the relationships the teachers create with their students because it provides that sense of comfort and safety that is important for the students success. The students are ready to learn. They have great work ethics and they are ready to push forward to their education and future careers. It is a wonderful school that maintains high expectations for everyone while also maintaining a strong professional atmosphere that is both challenging and nurturing.

Entering campus feels like entering a community college. And it is most definitely a community! Teachers expect students to be responsible for their homework, etc, but are always willing to give assistance; they genuinely care about the students’ success in all their classes. The Pathways offer opportunities not found in “traditional” high schools, giving students employable skills, and getting them to start thinking about the possibilities beyond high school - they graduate well prepared for college, the military, or a career. There are still the fun, traditional aspects of high school - homecoming, sports, dances, spirit weeks, and all kinds of clubs for almost every interest.
