Read what parents are saying about The Aces-TempeThis school is for kids with special needs or behavior problems. I think the school has been good for my son. Overall it's a good quality school. You have to stay on the teachers some to get progress reports. If you show your interested in your child's care you will get more from them. The only issue I have if too many kids of different ages are in the same classes. Such as 8 and 9 year olds in class with a 12 or 13 year old. I think that's too old to be in the same classes. Other than that I have had a good experience here. Its something you want only to use temporarily because you want your child to be in the company of general education children at some point.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely horrible school. Within a week of enrollment, I'd already had so many issues with administration I went ahead and enrolled her in another school for the following year. As soon as I heard they had an open spot for the remainder of the year, I pulled her out.The issues:Told the school she would have a watch to text and call me and her father, only when she sent me an audio clip of a teacher yelling at her and I took it to the principal did they have a problem with it-- because they realize they are now being held accountable.During enrollment, I wasn't pleased to hear that because of Covid, parents aren't allowed entry for pretty much any reason. I later found out (when I finally got in to go to a PTA meeting), that all these parents in the PTA are on campus all the time volunteering. When leaving from that meeting, I found my daughter not playing at recess but hiding in a corner because she was cold. Why wasn't there a teacher helping her? I would visit and wave to her at recess some days and the teachers always side eyed me and made me feel terrible for coming at my daughter's request bc she didn't like being in school. Once while watching recess, I saw a maybe 5 yr old screaming and crying being dragged by two grown adults. I was in such shock, I still feel like I hallucinated it.During drop off, if you get there right at 7:30, the teachers will be looking you in the eye, watching your kid get out and lock the gate so you have to take the kid into the office to get into school. The playground is mainly unshaded and sand. Please spare yourself and child of this school and go somewhere else. There are amazing charter and select schools nearby with much better staff, facilities, and policies.Parent Review2y ago - Roosevelt Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers here have their hands full that's for sure. Lot of the students come from families that do not speak English very well. I think having Spanish speaking teachers as aids will really help the students. I like to see this school to push the parents to get more involve. You go to these award events and see no parents show up! Parents have no clue on what their child is being taught in school. The families need to be the one to notice that bulling is being done and need to speak up to the teachers and even threated to get police involve. My granddaughter in 3rd grade was getting beat up by another student because that student did not want my granddaughter to be friends with the other student who were with this girl that was being bullied. Parents need to get more involve with school activities. Halloween get together at night where were the parents? Pizza night where are the parents? These teachers have a lot on their plate. We need to find ways to get Mom and Dad to get in volve. Allow parents to come in and watch a class 1 day a week or something. Need to change what the kids are learning. Basic math 2+2 . The children are being push through because of No kids Left behind. I do not believe in homework; kids spend hours in school learning and should not have to spend hours home doing homework where there is no one to answer questions to help with homework. Let support the teachers Mom and Dad. show up on get to gather nights, show up for pizza night. Ask your child's teacher on what can you do to help with the class or something, it may just be buying some supplies for the class such as paper. Your child learns in school starting with you as the parent. God Bless.Parent Review9mo ago - Thew Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeacher's have been ok, but the office administration, assistant principal and principal are horrible. My son was a victim of a fight at recess and no one called to tell me, I had to hear it from my daughter who also goes to the same school. I'm able to sign out my kids without anyone checking my ID (NOT SAFE!!!!) None of them care about your children and only TRY to do something about an issue when it's too late. Please consider taking your kids elsewhere. No one here communicates about ANYTHING.Parent Review5y ago - Tempe Montessori School Ltd
