All three of my children attended this school, my youngest still attending. We love the Dual Language benefits and the community is great!

Looked great at first, and most of the grade-level teachers are actually excellent. The experience as a parent of a SPED kid, though, has been terrible. Ignoring the IEP and parent concerns; refusing to accommodate or test for need; a Resource teacher who just fed the kid answers and ignored and denied their challenges. They've also ignored bullying of IEP kids and refused to support the kids through it. Just overall not a good place if your kid needs any support at all beyond the average kid.

Very disappointed on how most of kyrene schools have gone down hill including this 1, teachers are great special education is great, what's getting in the way is kids behaviors with no consequences ever sweep it under the rug. Even the teachers have stated they've never seen such terrible behavior up until this last year. Very disappointed

Teachers try but they get silenced by their higher ups. Kids run rampid with terrible behavior that gets rewarded and teachers can't do anything about it. Not safe at all assaults are clearly ok over there with no repercussions. Class sizes are too big, teachers are losing their morale. They have these events parties ect to distract from this failing school

On November 11, 2023 I applied for the preschool assistant position. I’ve been working with kids for over 15 years and I wanted to change over and work with kids in a school setting. I was emailed from the principal on November 24, 2023 asking if I would be able to do an interview. I was so excited because I had been waiting on this moment and working in a school setting has always been a dream of mine. We scheduled the interview for November 29, 2023 at 9:30 am. I arrived to the school at 9:20 am and I let the office staff know that I was here for an interview. I had to wait a couple minutes which didn’t bother me, I was a bit early. The principal took me back to the room for the interview and the preschool teacher was also in attendance. They both asked me questions and scenarios and I responded positively and promptly. I also asked questions about the position and how does preschool work in the school setting. They were both excited about my answers and about the knowledge I provided. The principal told me that they had other interviews and would be in touch. I thanked the both of them and went about my day. On December 5,2023 she emailed me and asked me if I would prefer to work in a preschool setting or would I be interested in doing one or one. She explained she had a 1 or one position available. I responded I would be open to either and then told me the position starts January 4th and I could let my current job know. She promised me two positions and then told me she would check my references. Well she never told me that she had another candidate this whole time as well. She emailed me and told me I wasn’t picked for the position, they went with the other candidate. The principal offered me two different positions and she promised me a job before she said she had to check my references, and I asked her if I could apply for other positions and she ignored me and just told me per my references I was not picked but she led me on knowing she already had another candidate
