Rio Colorado Elementary School

My daughter had problems with her teacher when she first started with the teacher making rude remarks towards her to the point of my daughter not wanting to go to school and getting sick to her stomach everyday before school. Her teacher was also teaching in Spanish. Where my daughter struggled as she doesn't know Spanish. After talking to the principal twice about it, it has all seemed to get a bit better with the teacher. Another thing my daughter is struggling with is getting bullied by another student. It's been brought to the principals attention and yet I do not believe anything was done? NOW my daughter has horrible bruising on her knee from getting pushed onto the floor from the same little girl. So AGAIN I will be going into the principals office!! Things like this should not be repetitive!

I consider this school friendly and well organized. I volunteer in dance and I really enjoy working students from this school. Staff are also very friendly!

En mi experiencia como madre de una alumna es una muy buena escuela mi hija empezó desde kinder y hoy cursa 5th grado se ha sentido segura y feliz en la escuela con unos excepcionales maestros en el transcurso de los años gracias de antemano a todos los maestros y directores por su dedicación .

I didn't like the school because the children bully each other a lot and because there's no safety in the classroom. My son was caught in the act by some children. The children went to the school to check on him, and they don't have a security guard who solves the problems, but the children continue to misbehave. There are children who bully and don't care. I had to take my son out because he was being bothered so much, and it wasn't fair that I had to take him out when he was suffering mentally. The teachers are very good, and the children who bully are still in the school because they're only interested in the money they earn per child.
