Posted by a teacher on 8/20/2011My daughter has attended Metro Tech High since her freshman year and she is now a Senior. The school has excellent teachers and they have supported my daughter to follow her dreams and goals. This is an excellent career high school. I never hear about student fights either which is wonderful.

The teachers are highly qualified and have really helped my children grow academically in all subjects. They respect the students and are super supportive. There is great communication by using the REMIND app. The classes are small and the curriculum is rigorous. My children have made lasting friendships and also have had the opportunity to play sports. The PEER after school program is amazing as well and so are the staff. They are super involved with the kids!! In addition, Mr. Walker, the principal, is top tier. He is a man that wears many hats. I usually always see him on crossing guard duty in the morning. The school is extremely safe and the environment is conducive to learning. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is NOT for children with special needs. Do not believe the advertising that states that they accommodate special needs children. My granddaughter was kicked out of this school ( she has since been Dx with Autism). My daughter requested that she be allowed to stay until the testing was completed and another school was found. They kicked out the whole family (including my younger granddaughter) in the middle of the testing because my daughter was advocating for my granddaughter. She missed a whole month of school as it took that long to complete testing and find a school.
