Read what parents are saying about Discovery SchoolThere is no working with this school. Admin are both single females that do not listen to reason. Many of the teachers are uncertified, hired to be teachers. They are not pro students, not pro families, not pro parents. I don't know why they are even a school. Class sizes are 30+
Posted by a parent on 11/14/2023I went to this school and I have been in this school basically my whole life since kinder and I would not be as smart as I am today without this school it's amazing I grew with my friends and now this school is amazing all the teachers I have had gave me a great experince
Posted by a student on 11/5/2023This school is quick to get rid of students and they do not care about their well being. My child has an IEP and instead of accommodating at this school, they push him to another school. Teachers have not allowed him to use the restroom or willing to look at his IEP. The district is not in support of the students. Please look into other schools, and even other districts or a charter school.
Posted by a parent on 8/17/2023There are women "principals" of this school that are supposed to make certain that students are treated with dignity and respect. However, there was never a moment I felt these women cared about my students. There is a massive bullying, violence, and disrespect problem happening here which is what occurs when there is never a consequence for such behavior. They tolerate all types of bullying and violence at this school. Do not waste your time- TAKE YOUR KIDS TO A SAFE PLACE!
Posted by a parent on 5/20/2022The micromanagement at this school comes from the top and goes all the way down. Teachers are not able to breathe unless the admin approves. Zero autonomy, nothing can be done unless the district and its cronies approve. Glendale is a horrible district that has no idea how to run schools. Most of the people at the top were promoted because they are friends with the superintendents. Teachers are underqualified, overworked, underpaid, and nearly abused. Students do not have any related arts classes and are expected to operate as robots, just as the teachers are.

Shut the school down or get rid of trouble makers so kids there to learn can learn...hate hate hate this school..Parent Review5y ago - William C Jack School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWell to begin the front staff is a disappointment they don't care about the parents or child needs. There is so much bullying and nothing is done. The teachers have a large amount of students and are performing way below grade level. There is no sports or extra curricular activities. I don't even know who the principal is because they don't engage in any activities. Don't take your kids here there are better school out there.Parent Review8mo ago - Coyote Ridge

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo many disrespectful racist homophobic & ableist students! The staff does nothing to stop this behavior. Don't enroll your kids unless you want them to walk out saying every slur in the book. Emailed the principal about this but he nor any staff did anything.Parent Review2y ago - Desert Spirit

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are happy with this school. Our child is getting a huge progress and with a help of teachers gets advanced learning possibilities. Teachers will assist our child to get some knowledge which will follow in the next year or two. That makes our child curious and willing to learn additional things, besides the standard schedule.Parent Review4w ago - Sunset Vista

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current student at this school and I want to leave so bad. This school is terrible and sucks at teaching. They don’t care about the students they treat the students differently and bully’s them. The food here is DISGUSTING it’s undercooked and just NASTY. The students here are worse they talk about drama left and right and they make up stuff for fun or just because they are bored. DONT BRING YOUR KID HERE.Student Review5mo ago - Desert Mirage Elementary School
