Posted by a teacher on 6/28/2019It wasn't always perfect but I managed to have Straight A's. I have many great memories that overthrow the bad. I have learned so many things that will help me later on in life. I have so much Pride for this school because I truly believe it is the best. We have had a bad reputation, but so far all the times we've gone out people have said so many great things about our school and students. We so much history in our school. It's old, but beautiful. We have shown so many times to people that Rangers lead the way, we are a school with much pride in not just our school but ourselves. Darby offers many opportunities to students who are willing to work hard. I love this school so much and I will always remember it, and the teachers and staff. They are absolutely wonderful.

Posted by a community member on 2/26/2014I am a 7th grader going into 8th grade next year. This school has been great the first year i attended it. Even though this school does not have a very good reputation, it is not bad. The students are what make it the school. The teachers are very good here. I have really enjoyed Darby and i encouarge more students to attend it. Even though mi mom is making me attend Trinity, a private catholic school, i will alwayz remember the good times i had here, especially the good teachers that hepled me all through the school year and Dr. Farrel the best principal i had ever had!!!!!
Posted by a community member on 6/5/2010The teachers are great however they do not have the time needed to make sure students have understood instruction as they have 8 classes and are too limited on time thanks to the principal He is a good man but needs to cut back to 7 classes and they need more tutoring programs not enrichment classes after school and this 7 classes would help teachers have more time to make sure kids are understanding their instruction. Their Gate program is lacking it is very restrictive rather lacking. The teachers are great if administration would just get out of their way and allow them to teach. Kids are too rushed due to very few minutes between the three story school.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could give a zero star rating for sunny made and it's principle I would the school is slowly going down hill yr by yr. What started out as an amazing school when my child was in kindergarten, has slowly become a nightmare because of overcrowding and staff with bad attitudes and a principle that could care less. The school was way better off when Dr. Edwards was there. Wish they would have given her the principle position and gotten rid of this excuse of a principle Mrs. Smith.Parent Review9y ago - Tilles Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNotice all the reviews are very old... Its a shame they enlisted the schools old principle, Lance Stuart, as the new superintendent of the school. They should of got someone who would have the parents, students and community's respect, someone who's history with the staff doesn't cloud their judgement into not doing their job as superintendent or reprimand staff who doesn't do their jobs, even when shown concrete proof of it on multiple occasions. What a shame the school board allows this man to run this school in this manner. He prefers to keep his staff friends over helping the children, this is factual as he is even friends with the one in question on facebook. He won't even help a student if it goes against his friendships, let alone care. Do better.Parent Review2y ago - Union Christian Academy Middle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSent my child here for kindergarten was not impressed by this school at all I went here as a kid and it has changed but not for the better. This school would rather suspend your child then to teach them in my opinion. The superintendent at that school is a great guy. The principal for the school I believe his name is Coach Peach just not a great person in my opinion and experience. All I can say is thank goodness GOD didn't give up on his children as fast as you do coach.Parent Review1mo ago - First Umc Weekday School
