Academics are great and students consistently get admitted to highly selective schools like Yale, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia,Dartmouth,Vanderbilt, Duke, Stanford,U Penn to name a few. Sports and Arts are very well represented too.This
Posted by a parent on 3/22/2014Highly recommended. Strong academic rigor and great preparation for college, compared to other local private schools. Also, many extracurricular activities in both athletics and the arts. Faculty are well-trained and highly motivated.
Posted by a teacher on 5/9/2013My daughter has attended UMS since K-4. She is now in 3rd grade. I wish that I had the opportunity to attend such an excellent school. She loves going to class and the curriculum is impressive. It really does feel like a family. Highly recommended.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think the school is okay, but mostly okay for kids who are Caucasian. Majority teaching staff is Caucasian. Diversity and Inclusion is obviously not a thing at this school. The African American kids have to work 3 times as hard as the Caucasian kids to get recognized the same way the Caucasian kids do who can do the very little. I think the school can be okay and be better if they focus more on diversity and inclusion. The teachers also does not seem to care much about the kids in a way that is caring. Some of the teachers seem more like it is a job than caring to ensure all the students are included and congratulated equally.
