Joe M Gillmore Elementary School

My experience with the teachers has been great, and I want to make that clear. My concern is specifically with how the car-rider procedure is being handled by the principal.I was told that I could not let my child exit from the left side of my vehicle. I reviewed the written car-rider policy and could not find a rule stating which side students must exit from. I have also observed other families using the left side since the beginning of this school year and during the previous school year.I understand that the principal may need to establish safety procedures, and I am willing to follow them. My concern is that if this is a rule for everyone, it should be clearly communicated and consistently enforced—not introduced to individual parents without being included in the written procedures or communicated through signs/notices.I would appreciate clarification from the school district regarding the official car-rider procedure and whether this requirement applies to all families.

It seems they worry more on athelitics than academic and it's starting to show by the loss of enrollment. With so many leaving we've decided we will be taking out our children as well. So many have left and a lot are leaving afte this year. Education is the most important thing in a childs life and we want all of ours to have it and that's not here. With the economy as it is people are having trouble as it is but they raise everything unlike the other private school in this county. It has more to offer in education and extra curricular and cheaper in the long run.
