Our experience with the school has been great. We moved here because of the school and we are very happy with it.

We are removing our child from this school for the next school year. There was very little actual work done. Only one book was given as required reading for the year, communication from teachers regarding what was being taught was virtually non existent after the first month. There were no projects or book reports, and spelling tests stopped after Christmas. There were no text books ever brought home and no access other than computer lab to a tablet/ laptop. My child glued xerox copies of other books into a notebook and worked them. This is ridiculous! They stopped AR reading program a few years ago and don't seem to have replaced it with anything. 4th and 5th have up to 29 in a class. They In general we are just highly disappointed with what we thought was a great school. Pros: nice building and great security. The school nurse is outstanding!

Terrible experience with both my kids here. Ended up homeschooling. They didn't discipline at all a boy that put a bruise on my child's face. They also let my child fall further behind without taking my concerns seriously and I finally demanded an IEP eval, but it took so long that we just changed to homeschooling. It's a shame what this school allows to go on, and so many exceptional teachers have left in past two years.

When faced with concerns the staff is quick to address matters and work towards a solution.

This has bee a greater experience than in the past long ago. The principal is more down to earth and tries to be very helpful. The new system in place for entering the office and the school zone is helpful in regards to safety. Overall, we have been impressed. What I would like to see more of is when students are struggling for RTI to indeed be followed by the need for possible further intervention services. Reading words per min is still a strong focus as well as comprehension, but comprehension needs more attention due to how it affects matters once they reach the middle school level.Teachers have been receptive to communication and have been very receptive to offer help when needed or asked.
