Tuscaloosa Christian School

My experience with this school is some what messed up already on the first day of school my child got ill and they wouldn't let her call me they talking about wait till she eat lunch to see how she feel I don't feel like that's appropriate if a child is hurting the child parent should be called immediately then no one call me until the end of the day to come get my child now if y'all going to be teachers y'all need to be teachers if y'all don't want your job you shouldn't sign up for it that's why a lot of people is taking their kids out of school because of the teachers there in need of more experience because majority of these teachers are young and some need more experience some don't have kids so some don't understand kids I feel like Tuscaloosa City schools and just throwing teachers in the schoolhouse they really don't know nothing or try to learn nothing about the kids this morning I dropped my child off at school and the lady said that I cant park there it's raining outside man what you want me to get my child wet so she can be sick and not make it to school like y'all got to get better if y'all want us to get better you guys got to get better and a ltTuscaloosa City schools I thought Arcadia will be a good school for my child and I still think so with some of the teachers but Tuscaloosa City schools got to get better if y'all want to see better from the parents and the students we can go in and try to talk to you guys and it's always we'll fix it we'll try to get it together and the same problem happen!!! Well we got to keep experiencing this type of stuff. Somebody need to be held accountable for it

This is our first year, it's pretty good. My kids are excelling. I like their teachers and they seem to love their teachers.

I have tried to work with this school in past and present .poor communication,careless atomsphere and from the principal also,some staff members and few teachers once in awhile its something wrong or complaints since our children been attending here at holt

Absolute worst school I've come across in my 13 years of parenting. My second child went to daycare and preschool and was not new to structure and discipline by the time he started Kindergarten here in 2024. By day 3 he was not allowed to play at recess because he was "being silly," typical behavior for a 5 year old in a new environment full of other five year olds. They have "high expectations," but NOT realistic OR age appropriate expectations. No redirection, only jumping to punishment like some kind of drill sergeants. As if the tactics are go hard and strong and the kids will learn to follow orders. We're talking about Kindergarten!! Maybe the new principal, and vice principal?? They were very dismissive when I requested info on why they were tolerating a grown "special needs," man running into and jumping at the children on the recess playground. I honestly don't care if the guy is special needs, what I care about is that my child is safe and only in the company of other students not random community members looking to entertain themselves. On the 7th day of school children were being punished and humiliated in front of a lunchroom of peers by having to "put their nose in the wall," for being silly after school while waiting for turn to get picked up. No warnings, or redirection, just straight punishments. They allow other children to hold them aggressively by the arms while the wait for cars to pull up to pick that child up, when it's obviously not necessary because the car riding child is showing no reason for the arm holding and is CLEARLY uncomfortable with it!! This school has SO MUCH that requires addressing and CORRECTING, like COMMON CHILD PSYCHOLOGY is completely disregarded. Use of delayed punishment, bribery with food rewards. Peer humiliation, aggressive tactics, dismissing parents voicing concerns, as if this school is for grumpy child haters to have a job rather than an educational environment FOR children. Disgusted after multiple attempts to get assistance I removed my child from the trashiest school I've seen in Tuscaloosa Area.
