Great school! The only issue with it is a lack of school counselors, but that's an issue in the entire district, not just at this school. Staff is caring and dedicated to helping students succeed!

I've been at Tongass School of Arts and Sciences for 9 years now. I love that our school gives students many opportunities to go out into the community, to create hands-on projects, and to attend a variety of artistic and scientific classes. Our families and students are the best part of our school, and our teaching staff is a cohesive team. Students at TSAS learn about important Lifeskills and Lifelong Guidelines. We have a library in the heart of our school, and a librarian who loves to help kids find the exact books they want or need. Our principal is a great leader, showing respect to teachers, students, and parents. In addition to the math, literacy, social studies, & science, TSAS offers PE, a STEAM class, enrichment classes, swimming time every other week, and lots of art opportunities too!
