All the garbage you have been hearing on the news is poisoned this school. The faculty needs an overhaul nonetheless!
Posted by a parent on 11/26/2023I was so pleased to move to this elementary district! This school is BRAND NEW, high tech, and the staff is excellent. Very caring principal and challenging programs. My child is finally eager to go to school!
Posted by a parent on 11/22/2014This school has strong parent involvement, a great support staff and excellent teachers. The newly finished renovation has made Auke Bay bigger, brighter and made the floor plan more functional. I don't know how it could be better!
Posted by a parent on 9/24/2013This school is wonderful! A just finished new building that is welcoming with lots of light and great space. The staff and teachers are amazing and know our kids well. The parent and community involvment is outstanding. I am so grateful our kids attend this school!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am so unimpressed with this school. The teachers leave a lot to be desired. The building itself is nice...but academically I cannot believe how far behind my child is since being there for two years. There are cultural programs.. but only if you are Tlinget. There is bullying happening to black children and children who are believed to be gay. Diversity programs might be better than a cultural program that caters to only 1 culture. The principal is worried about how things look... but she's not doing the work part of her job. Can anyone recommend a better school? An Carol Burrows was my teacher an Rachel Sanders was my speech therapist, also my mentor. I’m so very happy an now my daughter goes there.
