7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying was horrible for me here, fights have broken out and the teachers say they “tried to get in front of it before anything bad happens” but they literally just stand there and watch this stuff happen, they don’t deal with the problems and try to solve them. Instead they give out no contacts as the instant solution to bullying and other student problems. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLook, you really can't trust these ratings. My kids were miserable at a 9/10 school, so I finally switched them to SLI. My son told me that this is literally his dream school. My kids are thriving, happy, well fed, and learning. I do not care about these rating systems anymore. Individual experience is what matters, and the teachers at SLI are top notch. The leadership 100% better than the school we left. I was concerned about the increasing teacher to student ratio that comes with the public school and overall education level. What I found was that my kids fell in love with Summit Elementary School right away. They love their teachers, and their principle, and the feeling of community. "Very friendly, and safe. Little diversity though. Everyone is very willing to help their neighbor. There is definitely a good mix of that small town feel but also close enough to Milwaukee and Delafield to not get bored."

"Oconomowoc has the charm of a small town with the proximity to large town activities. Frequent festivals and family activities make living here fun. A park and walking/biking trail are outside your door. Nearby lakes offer water activities. Schools are excellent, and the people are friendly. It's home. Ahh."

"Wonderful community with charm. There is great butcher shop 1 block over across from the park. An event seems to always be happening in and around town from a fine arts festival to moonlit movies in the park to entertain your family."
