N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLet me start by saying I love Lodi Schools overall. Lots of caring teachers who are very good at presenting the curriculum in the classroom. Lodi Elementary also has an awesome, caring principal! However, I am looking forward to the changes the recently passed referendum is supposed to bring. I'm hoping once the elementary and primary school share a building that some of the snottiness from the primary school administration will go away, because it really takes away from the rest of the school atmosphere. As one parent said in another review, there is a strong "us vs. them" mentality and I do not feel supported as a parent by the primary school administration. Hoping that changes in the near future!Other Review7y ago - Lodi Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been actively involved in both the Lodi Primary and Elementary Schools for nearly 5 years and have nothing but positive things to say about the District as a whole and these two schools. The principals of both schools are very good at maintaining discipline in the halls and classrooms, while being loved by the students too. These principals are outstanding - Lyle at LES even dressed with cartoon ties which the kids love. He personally greets all the kids and parents outside the school as they come in the morning and waves goodbye in the afternoon. He is always open to communications and visibly enjoys the children - I know because i caught him singing once with a group of kids that couldn't go outside for recess and they were all clearly having way more fun with him! The teachers are also fantastic, as my 3rd grader is clearly excited to read at night and come to school each day. The schools are also terrific in music and math - the kids know how to read music by the time they leave 2nd grade and my daughter now plays the piano better than I do. They have a computer math lab too which the kids love. Top notch all around in my opinion!Parent Review9y ago - Lodi High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've gone to Lodi my whole life. I would never want to go anywhere else and I plan on coming back to Lodi after college to build my family and make sure my kids have a great place to grow up in too. Now in my last year of high school, I have been able to appreciate just how lucky students at Lodi High are. Our staff is tough but caring and only expects the best from their students. For those who didn't enjoy their experience at Lodi, didn't take their opportunity for what it was worth. We are not a school full of drugs and bullies. A few kids that make bad choices shouldn't define the school as a whole. Overall, the students at my high school are passionate, intelligent, hard working kids that should feel lucky for the wide range of things they are able to do in such a small school like Lodi.Student Review8y ago - Lodi Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel that there is a definite divide between what the parents want, and what the school board does. Additionally, there is little to no transparency. For example, Lodi launched its equity agenda in the fall of 2020, complete with joining the Dane County Equity Consortium. The board did not tell parents they were launching this, therefore getting no feedback. In the fall of 2020 teachers began learning how to teach this in the classroom. Parents should know when the school teaches controversial issues. Further, the entire handling of COVID from asking parents if they wanted to send their kids back to school (75% said yes and the board voted unanimously against sending the kids back in person). There is a complete and utter disregard for what parents want in many different aspects of their children's education. Finally, there are kids with sensory and anxiety disorders, asthma, and those that have religious reasons not to wear the mask and the school is denying these kids exemptions. This is not offering equal access to the school's resources and has wreaked havoc on their mental health.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 209 N Military Rd.
