Was very difficult to get communication or information. School District attendance line auto called me every day 160 times per school year on one child, whether child was there or not, despite my complaints and concerns. Very flawed school district and no accountability. Leaving children behind, literally, and yet passing them on for the high school to deal with. If you are thinking of anywhere in SMS's district lines, don't. Buy elsewhere, don't move here or pay for private school. If you are already here, move. Quickly. "I work from home. But in Tacoma? I hate the roads w/o stops signs or even yield signs. its scary. Everyone thinks they have the right away and What makes it worse is that people park all the way up to the curb so you cannot see around the vehicle to see if other vehicles are coming."

"Point Defiance park is right near by, and it is a joy of a park to go hiking, running, and picnicking. it's not that far to Point Ruston, and there is a Farmers Market, and shopping, a movie theater, excellent dining, and beautiful views of the Puget Sound."
