4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have taught at this school for six years now and find it to be very positive. I find it troubling that a parent called our secretaries lazy. Our secretaries work extremely hard and our fifth grade students help in the afternoon because we have over 50 notes that need to be delivered to roughly 25-30 classrooms within a twenty minute window right before school is dismissed each day. These notes contain information about transportation changes that are very important. Each of those notes needs to hand delivered to the correct teacher. Out of all my years there, I have experienced very few problems with this system. The fifth graders seem to be very proud to have this responsibility. It is impossible for our office staff to leave the office and deliver these notes themselves during this time because they are needed to answer late phone calls from parents regarding transportation changes. Also, they are needed to help parents who need to check out their students early. I am not sure what caused this parent to find this system so disagreeable, but I am sure our office staff would welcome him/her to volunteer to deliver 50 notes to 25 different teachers within twenty minutes each.Teacher Review7y ago - Sunnyside High School

The high school is probably the best high school to send your child in the lower Valley. Great teachers, staff, and administrators.Parent Review1y ago - Sierra Vista Middle School

"I love it here. I wish people would be more open to having neighborhood events or something like that. But I never want to move. I love the parks, the community, it’s quite diverse and over all a cute town"

" Lots of stray dogs roaming the streets and home owners let their pets wander around neighborhoods or yards."

"There isn’t much around here no one like to do many community events or even decorate for holidays. Only things in summer are the pool no good places to go around here. Community don’t feel safe at times with the types of cars lingering around. Pedophiles living close to us is scary. "

"There’s a lot of dogs. Depends on if your dog can handle seeing other dogs everywhere. Also, please clean their poo! :)"

"Good school district and helpful law enforcement. A variety of grocery stores and mom-and-pop shops. Many congregations of different faiths are established here and can be a good or bad depending on your point of view. City managers and councilmembers make decisions for the community based upon personal or religious beliefs and not necessarily for the greater good of the community of Sunnyside."

"Nice wide streets, neighbors watch out for each other. Some houses need some cosmetic clean up. Too many dogs running freely. "
