2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at park view was stressful and terrible. There really was no way to advance my academic career within the school other than academies of loudoun. The school does not offer many AP courses and is known to take away many electives that are actually interesting. Transportation specifically their busses are a pain and they can never drop off or pick up the students at the correct time, as a result kids are late to come to school and home. There is no communication whatsoever between staff and parents. Their front desk secretary Lynn rose is rude and unmannered. Asking her a simple question will cause her to explode on you for no reason. Trying to get any problems sorted out is tedious because they will say that “we can’t do anything, contact LCPS” Really avoid going here as much as you can.Parent Review1y ago - Sterling Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI never understood why this school had such low scores. We lived just behind this school, and our son went there for kindergarten until we moved out of the country the following year. The staff was amazing. Our son was at the age he was nervous to go in most mornings, and a counselor volunteered to walk him from the door to his room daily. She said once he was in class, he was fine. This was during covid, so we couldn't walk him ourselves. Our son learned a lot that year, but we also practiced with him at home a lot too. There were a few days the parents were allowed to come in and sit with the class for an hour and he always seemed happy and seemed to get along well with the students and teachers. Our son had some behavior issues (he was hitting) and the counselors met with us and helped us work through a plan, and it worked. Also, in an effort to keep pace with other STEM curriculum, every kid in school gets a laptop - even the kindergarteners. In short, this school is awesome. I recall shopping for our house in this district and being worried about the low scores, knowing our son would go here. But it ended up being a great experience. Our son's friends still attend, we still keep in touch with them, and they are still happy there. I think it's important to work with your child at home too to make sure their reading/etc stays on track, but that would go for any school. I think our sons success was due in part to the school and the home studying.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 207 Silverleaf Dr.

"I initially bought the place with anticipation of living here 5-8 years. It has now been 12, just sold the home and leaving the area in Spring 2019. Most neighbors are only surface friendly. Only got to know 4-5 really well. The people living here take care of their homes. Crime is low, no worry of sleeping with windows open in the Spring or Fall. I even left the car keys in the ignition more than once with no incident. Good quiet place to raise a family, kids are everywhere outside once it gets warm out."
