3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGodwin has come a long way. My daughter is 6th grade in the IB program and takes French. She tracks all her weekly grades online and integrates technology into her assignments. She takes advantage of the afterschool grant program t/w/th that assists with homework, but still allows for team sport participation. She experienced some reverse race discrimination comments by students (she is white) when competing for a position on a team, but made the team and held her ground with the students. It is a diverse school, which is a good thing, but there are some cultural differences that need to be worked on. Also even more attention to creating "kindness" by 8th graders towards those in the younger grades as there is a big age difference between 6th and 8th grade - perhaps too much in this generation. The teachers are responsive but I'd like to see a bit more "spirit" and "pep" with the administrator/tive team.Parent Review9y ago - Potomac High School

"It is a beautiful place if you like to live in the green. There is a lake in the community, and you can walk to Prince William Forest Park. There are also supermarkets within walking distance. For everything else, you need a vehicle, but you only need to drive up to 15 minutes to get to the place you need. An Omniride can take you, at peak times, to the Pentagon Metro Station in 40 minutes."

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for two years folks are not friendly. Things get stolen if delivered to your door, the Harley Davison dealership plays musics loud especially when they open early on Saturday til they close. There’s no respect for one another "
