4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an alumni and now parent, I love Highland. There is a sense of community and some of the faculty and administrators were students themselves when I was there in the 90s. My child has made friends with good kids who have an eye toward the future, though granted not every kid there appreciates what they have, the majority are decent kids. The only concern is safety, which is a problem everywhere these days. The administration is solid and always helpful, relatively good communication with parents. I am glad my kids are continuing the Ram legacy!Parent Review8mo ago - Hillside Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers here are amazing! Hillside is one of the schools in the valley everyone wants to work at, so there is fierce competition for positions. I was nervous about sending my daughter because my own experience in middle school was so bad, but she has truly loved it. She is in the MELP program, and in the same set of classes as many of her peers, which helps with making friends. She has been challenged, but not over-burdened with homework. Nearly everything she has brought home has been designed to help her remember what they learned in class, and hasn't been busy-work. The community also really comes together for extra-curricular activities. I'm amazed by the outreach surrounding their theater program. (I feel that nearly 50% of the school is in the musical, and they have all had an excellent experience from the lead to the ensemble.)Parent Review1mo ago - Whittier School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a substitute teacher at this school and let me tell you that is OUTSTANDING in every aspect. The kids are kind to each other and the teachers are kind to the kids. I was there for 3rd grade and the students are for certain where they should be academically. The one negative comment is from someone's experience almost 10 years ago and the Principal is new and loved by all of the teachers I talked to. She is highly intelligent and she is an outstanding educator for certain. Guaranteed she and her staff have boosted property values in that neighborhood!Teacher Review1mo ago - Innovations High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInnovations early college high school is very underrated in the state but it's very good. You can get help in anything whether it's emotional or academics. There are tutors who can help you in your assignments as well as your mentors, plus teachers and staff. They will help you achieve your academic goals, whether it's graduating early or not, taking college classes early etc. I really do recomend this school. You even have stufy periods where you can work individually. it's not like other high schools where you have 4 periods a day and 2 hours a class. They as well offer classes at the nearby high schools that innovations doesn't have. It's a very welcoming school and easy to make friends no one judges. And parents/guardians get updates on the students assignments and grades etc.Student Review1y ago - Innovations K-8

"Great access to public transportation and downtown is about a 5-minute drive. My husband works in the city so it’s great for us. It’s a bit more of a busy area than some of the suburbs because we are so close to so much— just a short walk away from many parks, shops, and cafés."

"Living near Liberty Park is the best kept secret in all of Salt Lake. Visit the park anytime of the week and you will see why. There are great food options nearby, as well as grocery/retail shopping (9th & 9th, Trolley Square, Sugarhouse, etc)."
