6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child was a part of the first Kindergarten class at McClatchey Elementary. Now in her final year at the school, she has had nothing but wonderful experiences with students, staff, and opportunities provided within the school and district. When the pandemic hit, MISD was ahead of the curve because it was already a 1:1 district, meaning each child had a device at home. Teachers were rockstars at adapting and teaching our children at home. As things evolved, they taught both online and in the classroom at the same time. Their extensive technology training was invaluable. The school focuses on character traits, careers and hobbies that students are passionate about, and yearly community projects. I have never had a problem with communication with Administration. Teachers regularly send emails and links to newsletters. The PTO is very involved, and plans several events throughout the year, and keeps parents in the loop. The school librarian wears a different crazy hat each day, and is a master at making connections with students. Having grown up in a big city, underperforming district, I am dismayed that anyone could rate this school less than stellar.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 140 Claremont Dr.

"I loves from Dallas to Red Oak and we’re not moving back. Yes it’s less crowded then the city but , the schools are good. The people are nice, it quiet, and it’s the country! Big win!! We love it by 9:30 the streets are quiet. It’s a good place to have kids. To go to major stores you have to go to Waxahachie 15 min drive. "

"congested due to mornings are tough because schools are so sporadically spaced-out and not a lot of Road space road. constant work going on resulting in detours that can throw your morning commute off schedule. . "

"Some neighbors let their dogs out unleashed and they come into your yard to do their business or run up to your dogs when you’re taking your own out. I’ve had to pull mine in a few times to avoid aggression. "
