5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOnalaska Jr/SR high isn't a terrible school. It's a rough school but not horrendous. A majority of the kids come from rough homes and don't have much motivation to do well in school but come because they have friends at school. The teachers and faculty bend over backwards to make sure the students succeed. In my opinion they do too much, you have to fail to learn to succeed. But because the school still has standards to meet the kids are given tons of opportunities to bring up their grades. There are many opportunities for students to get college credit before they graduate as well. "Old Victorian charming area the area has history old bricks whole details it’s downtown by the courthouse one of the oldest court houses in Texas heart to Texas history the jail is part of Texas history feel jealous about the fall down but it’s supported with restraints small town parade up and down the main street at holiday seasons just a nice small town"
