I have had children in the KISD for seven years (Delaney and Arthur). Each year I feel like the quality of education is going down. I think most of the teachers might be OK if they had decent leadership. The superintendent, asst superintendent, principals, and school board are all making bad decisions. Many of the best teachers are leaving. I can assure you that the schools will only get worse until the leadership changes. Like many other parents, I have transferred one child to a charter school. I might transfer my second child out also. My child learned nothing Arthur.

Some teachers have participated in inappropriate relationships with students. Check the news and police reports. Teachers and counselors are very lazy. All teachers allow students to make up bad grades. Therefore, students become lazy like the teachers. It was a very bad choice for our family.

My Son is special ed & needs he's been goin here since th end of 6th he's suppose to b goin into th 8th we moved from th burleson isd (what a joke BISD was so uncaring) KISD has went above and beyond to help my Son succeed....

Initial impression was nice small town school where everyone can get personalized attention. But look closer!! Over the years, dual language programs cancelled, Gifted & Talented programs watered down, minimal to no homework assigned (can't get it returned so we just don't assign it), no active PTA which means less activities. Special Education services, well let's just say they are not so special. Could it be that administrators actually own the after school programs and therefore profit financially from them? Yes, it is true. Great emphasis and funding put into sports. But, when it comes to fine arts programs, not so much. Interesting small town politics without accountability or objectivity. Oh, and don't dare question the status quo. That is not really appreciated.
