2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDespite Nimitz always having a bad reputation, it actually helps a lot of students when it comes to their future goals. I graduated from Nimitz in 2019 as a cum laude student. If it wasn't for them and their dual credit program, I would have never gotten into Texas A&M. Throughout my time here, the school improved a lot. Academically, it could improve a little more, but when I was there, the students always achieved wonderful things. As a public school, you may think here are fights everyday, but I only heard of about two in the four years I was there. They also do not implement the collar shirts since the district decided to remove that policy. I did not LOVE this school, but I am forever grateful for the opportunities it gave me.Other Review3y ago - Magrill Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat kind of school misplaces a child ? They put my child on the wrong bus then they had the merger to tell me they would call me back once they found her !! They didn’t even know what bus they had put her in even though my child as every child in that school wears two darn name tags with the bus number they are supposed to put her in !!! Nothing but negligence in this school !Other Review5y ago - Parker Intermediate School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI volunteer on a regular basis. Therefore, I see the good, bad and the ugly. The good: I appreciate the field experiences the students at Jones PK/K receives. The teachers are enthusiastic about teaching and go beyond the call of duty. The bad: Unfortunately, many students are not taught the values of respect. I witnessed teachers redirecting students on a consistence bases. Redirecting non-compliance students takes away instructional time from my child. The ugly: Students often sit in the nurses office for hours waiting on their parents to bring a chance of clothes (just put extra clothes in your child backpack). The bus often bring students back to school because the parent is not at the bus stop. I know life happens. It would not hurt to call the school and notify someone that you are aware and have made arrangements to pick-up your child from school. So often we (parents) make excuses instead of making a change to help our child(ren) be successful in school. Many thank-yous to the teachers at A. W. Jones EC/Pk/K for helping my child be the best she can be.Parent Review4y ago - Lewis Middle School
